Operation an NHWSF includes treating leachates : meteoric waters passing through waste deposits. Regulatory changes are increasingly leading sites to treat this waste on-site, with ever-growing treatment goals.

With over 100 references in France, we have become, in just 20 years, experts in treating this particular industrial effluent, which has the following characteristics:

  • A continuous evolution in quantity and quality of leachates, according to the life of the site (the type buried waste, the means of operating open surfaces, and the operation and post-operation phases...)

Treating leachates often involves a combination of technologies that must be assessed at each site. Among these technologies, Ovive offers:
Biological treatment to eliminate dissolved pollutants, notably ammonia and organic material, on-site
Activated carbon polishing treatment, nanofiltration, or reverse osmosis according to the discharge goals
Containerized pump-free reverse osmosis: for small treatment campaigns or emergency services
Adsorbants specific for certain pollutants: Arsenic, Phenols, AOX, Manganese…
